How Electrical Repair Works

From the call that starts it to a system that’s fully back in service, here’s how the process runs.

Call or Request Online

Contact our dispatch center by phone or submit a service request online. Describe the issue and its urgency, and we’ll prioritize accordingly.

Rapid Dispatch

A licensed electrician is dispatched from the nearest Allied technician base in Jackson, Memphis or Tupelo within hours for emergency calls.

Diagnose & Repair

Your electrician diagnoses the issue on site and completes the repair. If a part must be ordered, we expedite next day delivery in most cases.

Test, Document, & Follow Up

Every repair is tested before we leave and backed by our service warranty. We follow up to confirm everything is running as it should.

Licensed Electricians

Our electricians are licensed and trained specifically on commercial electrical systems, not general residential work.

We Stock the Most Commonly Used Parts

We stock the most frequently used genuine parts on our service vehicles. No generic substitutes, only parts that meet code and manufacturer specifications.

90-Day Guarantee

Same day repairs are usually possible thanks to a stocked, GPS routed fleet, and every job carries 90 days of coverage on both parts and labor.

One Team for Electrical and Mechanical Work

We handle the electrical work behind your HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment too, so a breaker panel issue tied to a piece of equipment doesn’t mean calling a second vendor.

All Building Types & Configurations

From a single breaker panel to a full building electrical system, we handle commercial electrical work at any scale, across every configuration.

Why do I smell burning near an outlet or panel?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

High

Overheating wires generate a distinct burning smell as their insulation begins to break down, a loose connection creates the same resistance and heat buildup that causes breaker panel warmth, and arcing produces heat and ozone at the point where current is jumping a gap it shouldn’t. Any burning smell near electrical equipment is a high urgency, immediate safety issue, worth shutting off power to that circuit if it can be done safely and calling right away.
Why did my equipment lose power unexpectedly?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

High

A blown fuse or tripped breaker cuts power as designed when something exceeds its rating, and a failing transformer can drop power intermittently before failing completely. Equipment losing power once might be a one time event; losing power repeatedly on the same circuit points to a developing problem worth diagnosing before it becomes a full outage.
Why is my breaker panel warm to the touch or making noise?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

High

Loose connections generate resistance, and resistance generates heat, right at the point where current is flowing, an overloaded panel runs hotter across the board because it’s carrying more load than it’s rated for, and failing breakers can overheat internally even under normal conditions. This is high urgency because a warm or noisy panel is one of the more direct signs of an active fire risk, not something to wait on.
Why did my voice or data line stop working?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

Medium

A damaged cable loses its ability to carry a clean signal at the point of the damage, a failed jack breaks the physical connection point, and a termination issue means the cable was never properly connected to begin with. Data and voice line issues often get mistaken for a router or phone system problem before someone traces it back to the physical cabling.
Why did my outlet stop working?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

Medium

A tripped GFCI shuts the outlet off as a safety measure the moment it detects a ground fault, a loose wire connection loses contact intermittently or fully, and a failed outlet has worn out internally from age or repeated use. Outlets near water or in older buildings fail more often, since GFCI protection and connection wear both compound in those conditions.
Why does my breaker keep tripping?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

Medium

An overloaded circuit draws more current than the breaker is rated for, tripping it as a protective measure, a short circuit sends current down an unintended path and trips the breaker almost instantly, and a failing breaker can trip even under normal load because its internal mechanism is wearing out. A breaker that trips repeatedly under the same conditions is telling you something specific is wrong, not just resetting it and moving on.
Why is my lighting control system unresponsive?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

Low

A programming issue means the controller is sending the wrong commands even though the hardware is fine, a failed relay can’t switch the circuit even when it receives the correct signal, and a wiring fault breaks the connection somewhere between the controller and the fixture. This is usually low urgency for safety but can be high priority for a business that depends on scheduled or scene based lighting.
Why are my lights flickering?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

Low

A loose connection creates intermittent contact that flickers under vibration or load changes, a failing dimmer or ballast can’t maintain a steady output, and voltage fluctuation from the building’s supply affects every fixture on that circuit at once. Flickering tied to one fixture usually points to that fixture or its wiring; flickering across multiple fixtures points further upstream.

Don’t wait on a warm breaker panel or flickering lights. Get a licensed electrician on site, fast.
